On Tuesday April 26th Councilman, fellow Rotarian, and Sergeant at Arms Ben Stanley, organized a town hall meeting at the Pleasant Grove City Council Chambers to highlight the various service clubs in our community.
The Presidents of the Kiwanis, Lions, and Rotary Clubs had the opportunity to share about their club's focus and projects that were done in the local community.
There was also an opportunity for the citizens to ask questions about the clubs. There were around 20 attendees and it proved to be a very informative meeting.
The meeting also served as a platform for the clubs to chat about how they could work together on tackling various social issues. The Kiwanis and Lions both expressed interest in assisting us with our food drive projects with Tabitha's Way and PG Gives. A few of the citizens came up afterward to discuss how they could join Rotary to help with the Refugee Crisis in Syria.
Rotary Club President Derek Cahoon invited them to attend our weekly meetings so we could discuss how we can best help.
